Ensuring Quality Care in Telehealth Encounter
Telehealth is a great solution for providing remote care, but how do regulators and payers ensure that the care is of the highest quality and not substandard medical services on an advanced platform? This session will discuss strategies payers and providers should implement to ensure that patient care from a distance meets the same standards of care as that provided during an in-person encounter.
Session 2
Increasing Access to Care with Telehealth
Telehealth’s increased usage has demonstrated that it removes some of the barriers to care by allowing patients to see their doctor without the limitations of transportation, childcare, or issues of stigma. However, what happens to patients who do not have access to telehealth due to limited broadband access? This session will discuss how telehealth has allowed for increased access to care and the areas in which our technological infrastructure needs to be strengthened to provide care to patients in all parts of the country and world.

Telehealth for Chronic Disease Management
Telehealth doesn’t need to be just for urgent care or single patient-provider encounters. It can also serve to assist in the management of chronic conditions. This session will share thoughts on using telehealth as a means of providing ongoing patient care for chronic conditions and maintaining patient-provider relationships.
